Material
The foot protector is made of quality leather that covers the toes, heel, ankle, instep and side of the foot. All this is well protected by Top Ten's patented BayFill padding, which provides perfect shock absorption, reducing damage to yourself and fellow fighters. As seen in the pictures, the toes are secured to the inside of the protector with two straps that make it possible to fix one's toes well and comfortably. These straps are not felt during training or competition.
Closure
In addition to the straps for the toes, the protector is attached to the foot with a wide strap and a strong Velcro closure. The Velcro is of the best quality, which increases the life of the protector. The foot protector is attached by opening the Velcro closure, stepping into the protector and attaching the toes. The wide strap is pulled across the instep away from the body and under the foot. The strap is then pulled back over the instep so that the strap forms a cross. The strap is attached with the Velcro at the back of the protector.
The foot protector is open on the underside and therefore easy to keep clean and tidy. It breathes incredibly well and with the durable surface, you can wash it quickly without worrying about damage or cracks in the leather.
An important detail is the protected heel. In kickboxing - both full and light contact - the equipment will not be approved for combat if the heel is not covered by good padding. Therefore, remember to look for it when you are looking for equipment for battle!
WAKO approved:
Top Ten foot protector is WAKO approved. This means that the protector is approved for most events, but if you go internationally to the EC and WC, it must be in the colors red or blue.
